2024 Playwright in Residence
Necessary Angel’s NA LAB, which launched in 2024, is the company’s new home for creative activity in support of artists and their artistic development. The NA LAB is the natural evolution of the company’s established residency programs, which have offered a diversity of artists time, space and resources to create, and deepen their artistry.
Necessary Angel welcomes Jessica B. Hill as the NA LAB Playwright in Residence. She will be working on a new play, inspired by an ‘80s cult-classic film as well as Shakespeare’s personal life. Jessica will be supported by Necessary Angel through 2025, as she explores and writes.
